Volue, a leader in technologies and services that enable its customers to succeed in the energy transition, will provide Elmea AS with the first access to its new self-service portal for grid connections.
Delivered as an innovative SaaS solution, Volue’s ‘Automated Grid Connection’ streamlines the process of assessing grid feasibility, enabling customer dialogue, and processing payments. It empowers users with seamless access to critical data and the capabilities to drive business processes forward.
Elmea AS is the network company in the Lofotkraft group. It operates and develops the electricity grid in Lofoten and ensures that the electricity is brought to the residents and businesses in Røst, Værøy, Moskenes, Flakstad, Vestvågøy and Vågan. They will be first movers and use the software before it becomes commercially available in Q3, 2024.
Stein Petter Agersborg, Senior Vice President, Volue Power Grid, said: “This software means that for the first time a property owner will be able to automatically have their grid connection requests evaluated, calculated and approved, quickly and efficiently.
“Presented as a cutting-edge SaaS product, our Automated Grid Connection solution will transform grid feasibility assessments, enhance customer interactions, and streamline payment management. We look forward to working with Elmea in their role as our pilot customer.”
